The Small Law Firm Center at the New York City
Bar Association is working hard to bring its members a
variety of discounts, savings, and special offers to help
them in their practice. Member Benefits include:
Free Midtown Workspace and Conference Room
The City Bar offers a free conference room and workspace
to any City Bar member from a small law firm. The conference
room seats up to eight people and a speakerphone is
available with 24 hours notice. The workspace is a
fully equipped office and includes a computer with
Internet access, copier/printer/fax and telephone.
Association members may reserve the conference room
or the workspace at the Small Law Firm Center free
of charge for up to two-hours at a time, by calling
the library reference desk at 212-382-6666. Both rooms
are available Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Discount
Classes on CLE
City
Bar Center for CLE offers for practitioners at firms with
fewer than 10 attorneys
- DVDs can be viewed in the library for 50% off the
cost of a live program.
Attorneys would need to pre-register at least one day in advance to view the
DVD.
- Currently, individual passports are available whereby
essentially for the price of
5 programs or products you receive a 6th one free. For attorneys in firms with
fewer than 10, they would only need to attend or purchase 2 programs to receive
the 3rd of equal or less credits for free.
- A 20% discount is currently offered if 4 or more
attorneys from the same firm
attend a program. For attorneys working in firms with fewer than 10 the 20%
discount will be made available if 2 or more attorneys attend the same program.

The City Bar’s LRS
is the largest lawyer referral and information service in the United States.
You can help us serve callers who require legal advice and representation, while
we help you grow your business by referring new clients. Membership is open to
lawyers who actively practice in New York who meet experience and expertise requirements
and agree to the Rules of Service.

Our Library, the largest private law library in the
United States, is free to members, has computers available
with word processing, spreadsheet capabilities, and
Internet, and has wireless internet if you choose to
bring your own computer. The Library’s Copy Services
Department can copy and then fax, email, or prepare
for pick-up anything you request. Members can use this
service at a special, low member price, and all you
have to do is call 212.382.6666.
While in the Library, members can access LexisNexis,
Westlaw, and Hein Online free of charge. Hein Online
provides access to over 1,500 periodicals, some dating
back to the late 1800’s. NYS and Federal Reporters,
McKinney’s, Tax Management Portfolios, USCA,
NYCRR and thousands of forms are available at no cost
to our members. We have an outstanding print collection
that has everything from treatises, to Statutes from
