PUBLIC AFFAIRS LUNCHEON

NEW YORK TIMES REPORTER ADAM LIPTAK
Members of the Media Are Invited

When: Tuesday, October 18th from Noon to 2 p.m.

What: Discussion: Confidential sources, and the legal issues stemming from the incarceration of news reporter Judith Miller

Where: House of the Association, 42 West 44th Street

The national legal correspondent for The New York Times, Adam Liptak, will be the guest speaker for the City Bar Association’s Public Affairs Luncheon on Tuesday, October 18th, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Mr. Liptak, author of Broken Shield: Journalists, Confidential Sources and the Law, will discuss the issues arising from the recent incarceration of New York Times reporter Judith Miller and the grand jury testimony of Time magazine’s Matt Cooper.

Members of the media are invited and asked to register with Matt Kovary at (212) 382-6713 or online at mkovary.nycbar.org by Monday, October 17th. A complementary lunch will be available to news reporters who register.
